Cook Out Burgers

These juicy and flavorful burgers are sure to be a new favorite!

SERVES 6-8

BURGERS:

2 pounds pastured ground beef

Sea salt

Pepper

Granulated garlic

Bragg’s Liquid Aminos

8 thick slices of raw, pastured cheddar (Exclude if Paleo)

ACCOMPANIMENTS:

1 head organic iceberg lettuce, leaves separated and washed

2 organic beefsteak tomatoes, sliced*

½ organic red onion, sliced thin*

Organic dill pickle slices

Avocado oil mayonnaise, sugar-free

Mustard, organic and sugar-free

*Replace onion and tomato with avocado slices if on a Ketogenic diet and want to avoid the additional carbs.

DIRECTIONS:

Heat a gas grill on high or heat coals in a charcoal grill until they glow bright orange and ash over.

Make 8 burger patties and generously apply sea salt, pepper and garlic to both sides.  Drizzle one side of the patty with some liquid aminos. If using a gas grill turn heat down to medium.  Place burgers on the grill and close the lid. Cook burger for 5 minutes, flip.  Lay cheese slices on cooked side of burger and close the lid again.  Cook for 3 more minutes.  Remove and place on a plate or tray.

To construct burgers.  Lay a leaf of lettuce down on a plate.  Apply mayo, a tomato slice (or avocado slices), burger and then more mayo, mustard, pickles and onion.  Fold top of lettuce over burger and enjoy!
